The Wandsworth Big Business Breakfast at the Pestana Hotel & Spa
Join Chamber Members and guests for this Business Big Breakfast where Beverley Corson, Wandsworth Chamber's CEO, will present an update on the chamber's activities and upcoming opportunities for local businesses.
July guest speakers:
Santino Fragola is Wandsworth Council’s Head of Lifelong Learning and has been involved in education and skills delivery for over 30 years. He is responsible for the delivery of the borough’s Adult Education plan, leading the Education Business Partnership (locally known as Business & Education Succeeding Together - BEST) and supporting delivery and participation in apprenticeships.
In his presentation Santino will talk about:
- Workforce Development: Adult education programmes provide skills training and vocational education, enabling individuals to obtain better jobs and contributing to a skilled workforce. The Lifelong Learning team deliver courses directly and commission 10 other providers to work in the borough.
- Job Readiness: Courses in CV writing, interview skills, and job search strategies prepare adults for the job market.
- How we support participation in apprenticeships.
- Providing work experience for young people and adults. The need for employer support. How organising work experience has changed since the pandemic.
Toby will be offering you practical advice on how to decarbonise your buildings and homes through behavioural change and small cost measures. He will touch on reducing energy usage will working from home and offer an insight into new technologies that will help you save cash and carbon and improve comfort.

MEETING FORMAT:
Our aim is to keep things simple and allow a structured flow of semi-formal networking, with a 30-60 second round, offering businesses the opportunity to introduce themselves and say what they do, followed by open networking for further targeted conversations.
There will be ample time to network freely before and after the meeting.

The networking fee is £20+VAT for Wandsworth Chamber Members.
The fee for non-members is £30+VAT.
