Four-legged visitors are invited to collect a free Southside tennis ball and be in with a chance of winning £100 during Wimbledon

Southside Shopping Centre is inviting local dog owners to get into the Wimbledon spirit this summer with a free giveaway of limited-edition Southside-branded tennis balls.

Running throughout the Wimbledon Championships from 29 June to 12 July, the centre will be giving away 128 dog-friendly tennis balls - a nod to the 128 players who compete in the Gentlemen's and Ladies' Singles tournaments.

The giveaway celebrates Southside being a dog-friendly shopping centre, while encouraging visitors and their furry companions to enjoy everything the centre has to offer during one of Britain's biggest sporting events.

Dog owners can collect a free, limited-edition Southside dog-friendly tennis ball from 29 June at Southside's brand-new Guest Hub between 12pm and 5pm. Available exclusively to Southside PLUS+ members, the complimentary tennis balls will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.*

As part of the giveaway, Southside is also launching a special dog selfie competition. Visitors are encouraged to snap a photo of their dog with their new tennis ball and share it on social media using the hashtag #DogsOfSouthside for the chance to win a £100 to spend at a retailer of their choice within the shopping centre. To create the perfect photo opportunity, a dedicated dog selfie spot has also been installed within the centre.

Jul 30, 2026: Summer Netwalking with Wandsworth Chamber

Wandsworth Chamber invite you to join them alongside members and visitors (non-members are very welcome) for some Summer Netwalking and a BYO picnic on Wandsworth Common on Thursday 30th July 6:00 - 9:00pm.

This will be the last event in July before we take an event break in August so a great chance to connect and network.

Family and dogs are welcome and we encourage you to bring along your own picnic food, drinks and a picnic rug so we can enjoy a summers evening on the common after we have done some Netwalking for those that wish to take part. Feel free to bring a camping chair or games to play.

We will meet on the common opposite The Althorp Pub and we will set up camp. There are toilets within the pub and takeaway drinks as well.

This is a free event but please do RSVP so we have an idea on numbers.

Carla will be leading the Netwalking around Wandsworth Common and I will stay with anyone's belongings so you don't have to carry them on the walk.

The Netwalking will start at 6:30pm so if you haven't arrived by then, you can network with myself and anyone else not walking before the rest of the group returns.
